Chartreuse is made by macerating the select herbs with a neutral alcohol spirit which is then distilled and aged for five years in oak vats. Green Chartreuse gets its green color from the addition of chlorophyll. It is higher proof, drier and spicy Chartreuse has recently become a popular drink. Enjoy Chartreuse on the rocks.
