Wine tasting parties are an ideal way to get family and friend's together to learn about wine and experiment with new or unusual varieties, you will enjoy the 'tasting experience' of a cellar door in the comfort of your own home. Wine Down will bring exclusive wines from some of Australia's best wineries, including some undiscovered vineyards.

At a Wine Down Party you and your group will get a party specific to your preference.

Before the day we will:
Discuss your requirements with you personally and decide what tasting you would like to host. Types of tastings include:
• The ‘Big Red’ Wine tasting (various reds)
• The ‘Big White’ Wine Tasting (various whites)
• The Vertical Wine Tasting (one wine varietal – ie. merlot)
• The Horizontal Wine Tasting (wine varietal from a single year ie. 2008
• The Encounter Wine Tasting (wine v wine ie. Riesling v Chardonnay)
• The Price Point Wine Tasting (specific price point wine ie. $20)

We will also:
-     Provide you with invitations if required
-     Provide advice on the food to have based on the wine choice

At the party you and your guests will:
• experience a range of sensational wines (usually around 6)
• have a wine specialist discuss these wines in detail and help you learn more about what you are tasting
• learn some useful tips on evaluating wine without the ‘traditional’ tone

Our aim is to bring wine that you will thoroughly enjoy and still stay in your budget.

Why host a party?
By hosting a party you will receive a Wine Down Journal (RRP $50), this is a little gem that will hold your notes and make it easier for you to revisit at a later date.

Not only will you receive the Journal you will also get discounts off your purchases. Please note sales exclude host's purchases.
     - < 15 cases the host will receive 5% off their purchase
     - >15 cases are sold, the host will receive 10% off their purchase.

Wine Down will provide tasting glasses, spitoon 's and Wine Down Coaster's for the evening. The optimal size for a tasting is between 10-15 people.  Minimum is 6 people. There is no charge to have a party.
